Engineering Manager - Eaton Corporation (Athens, GA)

The Eaton Supercharger facility located in Athens, Georgia has an immediate need to fill an Engineering Managers position. Athens Georgia is located 1 hour North East of Atlanta and offers a variety of benefits. The positions primary functions are pPlans and manages all new and ongoing Supercharger Division Product Engineering Products with responsibility for timeliness, cost considerations and technical specifications of current and advanced Supercharger products. Develops programs outlining manpower, financial, equipment and other resource needs to support, develop and improve current production Superchargers and to develop new Supercharger products. Must develop and execute Flawless Launches of new programs. Champion EWT and other Eaton Business System and other problem solving tools.In addition the qualified candidate will be responsible for the following:Manages program direction and strategy for new product development including new products, components, materials and capabilities in anticipation of customer and market needs through the Engineering Services Group within Product Engineering.Monitors the activities of all Assistant Engineering Manager, Program Manager, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers, Supervisors and Plant Liaison engineers in implementing Supercharger programs.Develops programs outlining manpower, financial, equipment and other resource needs to support, develop and improve current production Superchargers and to develop new Supercharger products.Establishes direction and policy for support of current production Superchargers. Monitors support of current products in production through supervision of liaison engineer located at manufacturing facility.Evaluates progress of engineering products and recommends major changes in objectives or procedures.Manages preparation of Engineering departmental budgets, capital plans and strategic action plans.Develops cost reduction programs to meet metrics goal.Represents Engineering at major customer meetings covering program direction, development or quality issues.Manages, creates and supports world class capabilities through benchmarking and re-engineering of product engineering processes, assisting in re-engineering of other functional areas and implementation of such systems/processes as Product/Process Data Management and Simultaneous Product/Process DevelopmentPrepares and executes development program for growth of management and supervisory personnel within Product and Manufacturing Engineering.Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and apply that knowledge to resolve manufacturing concerns.Job Function: Engineering
