Flexo Shift Supervisor *455 - NPPS (Athens, GA)

Description To oversee department productivity, quality, safety, training and coordinate with internal customers for maintaining efficient work flows through the plant. Keep inventory and order supplies for both flexo and offset departments. The basic functions of the Shift Manager are to: 1) Make sure production schedules are followed and maintained as well as possible. 2) Ensure that personnel are following safety procedures that have been established. 3) Ensure that our customer's quality requirements are met and taking proper action with crews and suppliers to maintain the best quality possible. 4. Identify and separate non-conforming product and follow up with the Q.C. Department. 5. Checking and correcting press production reports for accuracy and necessary information. 6. Conduct toolbox meetings on safety and quality issues on a weekly basis. 7. Ensure that employees are maintaining housekeeping at levels required by FDA, SQF, etc. standards. 8. Keeping check on pressroom supplies and materials and maintaining minimum levels. 9. Follow up "Call Offs" with the necessary report and securing replacement as needed.
