Materials Supervisor - Eaton Corporation (Athens, GA)

The Eaton Supercharger Facility located in Athens, Georgia has an immediate need to fill a Materials Supervisor position. This position''s primary responsibilities will be to Supervise material handling function according to policies and processes determined by plant, divisional and corporate materials management principles. Specifically focused in accuracy of inventory and ERP transactions. Assist in developing & training of Material Handling team members. Other key functional responsibilities include but not limited to monitoring and improving key plant metrics, assisting in plant process improvements, as well as 100% customer satisfaction and inventory goals. Also responsible for the ERP Health dashboard inventory and transaction related metrics.In addition this position will be responsible for the following additional functions:. Understand business and manufacturing systems and processes that support production requirements (i.e. forecasting, capacity planning, scheduling, shop floor control, inventory control, payables, etc.). Responsible for material handling activities to support production OEE goals that ultimately achieve customer satisfaction and balance plant capabilities helping to ensure 100% delivery performance. . Supervise accurate utilization of ERP system (Oracle) and inventory and production transactions while maintaining optimum inventory levels.. Responsible for developing and implementing optimal storage and plant floor layout to support Lean Manufacturing goals related to Continuous Flow.. Manage the necessary information within ERP system to assist in accurate development of a Master Production Schedule and Materials Resource Planning.. Maintains accurate records of product; supervises the warehouse area and production floor related to material transitions and movements.. Lead Materials Handling Team in cost reduction activities, implementing methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics costs and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements.. Supervise, train, and develop Material Handling Team.. Assist Material Manager in any other Materials Management tasks not limited to above. Job Function: Supply Chain
