Job Description:/h3:
:Overall supplier quality performance within assigned commodities. Periodic reporting and tracking of quality performance.
:Technical skills in Weld analysis, Die Stamping and process flow.
:Assure closure on supplier PPAP approvals, deviations, audit findings, corrective actions.
:Supplier development through training, audits, selection, etc.
:Tooling setup, Robotic welder knowledge using Fanuc, ABB Kuka.
:Conduct internal and external training necessary to improve supplier quality.
:Assist Purchasing Manager and/or Commodity Manager in source selection and development, surveys, certification, and tool and component qualification.
:Support new product development and launch, programs and platforms from a supplier quality perspective. APQP, customer quality, supplier selection, qualification, capability, tooling, gauging, measurement consistency / gauge correlation, gauge R and R, print reviews, etc.
Other Duties as Required
Scope of responsibilities will vary based on business needs.
This position will require travel up to possibly 30 based on customer/supplier demands
Position may involve sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
Job Requirements
:4 Year Engineering Degree (Preferably Mechanical or Industrial) plus 3 years of related experience preferred.
:A minimum three (3) years practical, hands:on, quality and lean operations experience in an automotive environment.
:Demonstrated experience in statistical process control and tools, complex problem management
:Requires working knowledge with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, VISIO, etc.)
:High ability to analyze and interpret complex data, creates reports, and prepares succinct presentations
:Strong communication skills including delivering formal presentations
:Demonstrated ability to manage own time and work tasksCompany Description:/h3:
